Sequenced Student Responses
As I roamed today I introduced the idea of a double number line to the kids to build their understanding of the relationship between add/sub. This group had changed the subtraction problem in the question to an addition problem so as they presented I modeled a double number line on the right.
This was was just presenting a nice easy way to solve the problem by breaking up the numbers in a smart way.
